Private household seeking a full time (24 hours per week) permanent, live out, caregiver to help care for our 2 children in our home (6 years old and 1 year old). Typical duties: - bathe, dress and feed infant and child - discipline children according to the methods requested by parents -instruct children in personal hygiene and social development -organize activities such as games and outings for children -prepare and serve nutritious meals -supervise and care for children -tend to emotional well-being of children -change diapers for infant -lift children out/in cribs and out/in car seats (minimum 30 lbs) -prepare infant and child for rest periods There will be light housework, toy organization, laundry and occasional light meal preparation. We do not have a vehicle for you to use but we are near a bus route. We are in Macgrath Citadel (a neighbourhood in the south west area of Edmonton). There will not be, typically, any errands for you to run. Applicants MUST meet the following criteria: - currently residing in Canada -flexible, organized, reliable -minimum of a High School education - minimum of 3 years experience as a full time caregiver - speaks and reads English -Full time permanent applicants only -Flexible hours, must be available to accommodate variable work schedule (days, evenings, and weekends) based on the parents work schedules. Note that we will work with you to give advanced notice of your work schedule, at least 2 weeks in advance if not more, For most weeks, a minimum of 8 am - 4 pm Tue - Thursday will be scheduled. First aid training is an asset, if you do not currently have first aid training we request that you get it.
