Nanny Job in Calgary, Alberta

Hi there,

We are looking for a full time nanny starting March 2021. We have three children 3.5 years old, 18 months old and 2 months old (I am on maternity leave until January). Also small dog. In September the oldest will likely be in playschool full time so when I start back to work a few months later, you will only be alone with two young children the vast majority of time.

Position is full - time, 44 hours per week, split shift 7-1215 Sunday to Friday, and 5-830 Monday to Thursday (or something similar that we can discuss). When I start back to work, we will need 7- 515 Monday to Friday plus likely help with baths in evening if you are willing to work and want to make extra cash.

Job Duties:
Home helper/ nanny. Help mom take care of three young children during her maternity leave and then once maternity leave over, take care of children/pet needs while both parents at work.

Childcare: Basic personal are including brushing teeth, washing face when dirty, changing clothes, putting down for quiet time or naps, making hot meals including breakfast, reheating lunch or preparing quick lunch, making dinner (4 days out of week except friday) for entire family, providing snacks. Other care includes child activities such as taking kids for walks, arts and crafts, playing with toys, playing games, basic teaching such as alphabet, counting, colors, shapes.

House care: basic cleaning up kitchen after each meal, ensuring main floor tidy (i.e. pick up toys and quick vacuum), empty diaper bin and kitchen garbages/compost/recycling daily, keeping up with laundry.

Skills: must have at least high school diploma, preference given to those who have already raised children or nanny more than one child previously. If not willing to live-in, must have valid drivers license (prefer someone who does not take public transit during pandemic). Eventually, we will require nanny with valid drivers licence to take children to and from school in provided vehicle.

Terms of Employment: Permanent (long term, need full time childcare until at least January 2026)
