Nanny Job in Whitby, Ontario

Family in Whitby is seeking a full time Monday to Friday, Optional Live-In, In-home Lower Skilled Occupations Caregiver, not mandatory, but will supply caregiver with furnished bedroom, with a lock on the door and her own bathroom at NO CHARGE ROOM and BOARD to care for a 2 year old boy and a 6 year old girl. . The nanny will be a specialist working in the family’s home, responsible for all tasks related to care of the children. The nanny will serve as a loving, nurturing and trustworthy companion to children. The ideal start would be ASAP and will be 40 hours a week Monday to Friday. Responsibilities include: • Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children • Supervise the children’s activities at all times • Plan and prepare meals and bottles for, and feed, the children • Dress the children • Place the children down for naps during the day • Bathe the children when required • Change diapers • Potty train the little boy • Perform housework related to child care, cleaning up after meals, tidying play areas, and washing bottles and dishes • Teach the children good social manners • Play with the children, both indoors and outdoors • Plan and lead educational activities, including reading, with the children • Discipline the children, when necessary • Walk little girl to and from school • Administer medicine to the children • Cook healthy dinners for the family (breakfast for the kids, snacks, daily lunch and dinners) Job Qualifications & Requirements: • At least 1 years experience caring for children • First aid training and child and infant CPR preferred • Authorization to work in Canada • English proficiency • Reliable, honest, and trustworthy • Physical ability to care for a young child • Ability to plan, organize, and multitask with minimal supervision * Education equal to Canadian High School Diploma.
