Nanny Job in Langley, British Columbia

Hi there my name is Jill. Our family is looking for a caregiver to support our special needs non-verbal 23 year old son who has severe Autism and is fully dependent on all of his care. We are looking for someone who is flexible with days and hours (30 hours a week). Wage is $17.00/hour. Duties include: - Help with basic housecleaning and laundry -Dressing and all personal care (showering,personal hygiene) - Meal preparation/cooking - Persian cuisine (this is only type of food our son will eat if he is in the mood to eat orally ) - G-tube feed meal administration - Supervision of our son inside and outside of home -Teaching, assisting and accessing the community safely *Other details will be discussed during interview Qualifications: - Positive, caring, enthusiastic person with a good sense of humour who enjoys being with a special needs person - Must have minimum of 5 years caregiver/nanny experience - Must have 3-4 years experience with working with individuals with Autism or adults with disabilities and/or relevant education - Health care experience is an asset - Knowledge/Ability of G-tube feed administration is an asset - Must be willing to learn, prepare persian cuisine - CPR certification - Criminal record check required -Credit check & references required - Languages: English, Farsi (preferred) Please contact me if you are interested.
