Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

Hello my name is Carolyn. I'm a nanny who is flexible and look forward to helping your family. Hope to talk to you soon if you are interested. I am looking to secure a Live Out position to start in August or September although i am flexible to a degree. I am happy to relocate. I am a 42 year old female who has over 30 years of experience with children. I have been in Toronto since August of 2017 on a visitor visa. I currently don't have a permit or visa to allow me to work in Canada but I intend (with assistance from my employer) to obtain all required paperwork. I have looked after children between the ages of 1 month to 16 years, I have been a certified first aider but would need to renew to obtain a Canadian certification. I recently completed a British Sign Language course so am able to communicate to a certain degree, but aware that American Sign Language is used in Canada. My most relevant paid experience was in a primary school and was responsible for 4 autistic boys aged 6 & 7. I was in charge of the daily care while school, aiding them in their studies, helping them behaviorally to ensure they were able to cope with the situations that faced them. The work was challenging and very emotional but also very rewarding. In my most recent un-paid experience I looked after 3 children aged 3,5 & 9, I was responsible for the general well-being, meals, helping with reading, homework and the bedtime routine and playing games both educational and fun. I have my G2 licence. I am very comfortable with pets of all kinds, I have a cat, have owned dogs, guinea pigs and hamsters. In addition to my experience with children and animals i also have personal experience with medical conditions in adults namely MS and Alzheimer disease.
