I am a mature, wise and caring individual, and have had the blessing of becoming an extended member of the families I've supported over the past twenty years. I have been with my current family/employer for over 12 years, since their children were newborn, and with their children now older, am ready to pursue my next opportunity with a newborn, or toddler. I provide exceptional and compassionate care to young children, as well as light housekeeping and meal preparation as required. I have a great sense of humour which is applied in daily situations and see the joy in the day to day of a child's routine. The children that I support now tell me that I know ALL the nursery rhymes. A typical day with your young one will involve a couple of good walks in the neighborhood, with a trip to the local park, a healthy lunch that may be packed for a picnic or at home, as the weather calls, songs and age-appropriate activities, reading and drawing pictures, and nap preparation. I also have spent many enjoyable hours over the years digging for worms in the backyard as well as "planting and watering the garden" with toddlers. I enjoy experiencing the world through the eyes of small children and being an active participant with the child's rearing. In my current family, I brought the children their lunch every day to school - a real treat for them, and sat with them to chat about their, and my day, so far. (They wanted me to mention this.) I am able to supervise playdates and have a very good ability to relate to children. My current family considers me a part of theirs and have sought guidance about the children over the years.
