Overview: Hi there! We're a Winnipeg family looking for a warm, reliable mother's helper to join us as we prepare for baby #3. Right now I'm home most of the time, so this is a true mother's-helper role — helping with my 2- and 4-year-old alongside me, not solo charge. My availability is flexible week to week for now, but as I get further into pregnancy, I'll be moving toward a more steady, set schedule, so I'm looking for someone comfortable starting flexible and settling into consistent hours over the coming months. Worth noting: my 4-year-old's preschool is closed over the summer, so I'll need more hours of help during that stretch. I'd love the first stretch to be hands-on together — learning our routine, getting to know the boys, building comfort on both sides. From there, my hope is to gradually build toward you confidently taking the boys for stretches on your own, so I can rest and focus on our newborn when the time comes. I tend to build close, warm relationships with the people who help our family — the kind where it feels like you're part of our world, not just an employee clocking hours. But that warmth is built on trust, and trust for me is built on reliability and follow-through. Even on days I'm home, the boys are your focus during your hours — I'll be right there as backup and company, but I want you genuinely engaged with them, not waiting on me to step in. The families who've worked out best for us are the ones who show up fully and communicate openly, and in return, I show up the same way for them. Pay reflects that progression: - $20/hour during the together phase, while I'm home and we're working as a team - $25/hour once we're both comfortable and you're taking the boys solo I'm flexible myself, and open communication matters to me as much as reliability does — if something isn't working or a day needs adjusting, I'd always rather know.
