Successful applicant will act as a Community Support Worker for a 25 year-old boy with Autism, Catatonia & Crohn’s Disease. You will have a passion for working with those with diverse abilities. You will assist in increasing his quality of life by connecting him to his community. Qualifications include: Education and experience in the Human Service Worker field. Knowledge of Activity Based Program and Planning Knowledge of Natural Teaching Strategies & Positive Behavior Support Planning Knowledge and familiarity with Autism Knowledge of/ or experience with EIBI Skills Required: Planning Activities while imbedding goals as outlined in the Community Support Plan provided. Ability to use your own vehicle to drive to and from community programs & activities Ability to create an active community involvement schedule based on clients interests. Flexibility with schedule to attend concerts & cosplay conventions with client A passion for community connection and involvement. Life Skills Planning & Teaching Requirements: Valid BC’s driver’s license, reliable vehicle and driver’s abstract required Criminal Records Check (vulnerable sector) with RCMP Hourly Rate based on experience
