Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

Job Overview: Currently seeking a nanny for a six-month old baby in Olympic Village. The ideal candidate loves children and has a passion for early childhood development. *We are willing to be flexible for the right person as we want someone our family can learn and grow with. Primary duties include: Ensure child's safety during indoor and outdoor activities Follow the child's daily routines (activities, meals/snack, nap time, etc.) Take care of the child in case of injury or illness Assist in child development exercises as laid out by the parents Encourage appropriate social behaviors, such as being respectful of others and basic manners Secondary duties: General housekeeping including dishes, vacuuming, mopping, pet care, dusting, garbages, child's laundry etc. Employee must: Hold a valid driver's license (you don't need to have a car) Must be eligible to work in Canada Must have a Highschool Diploma Minimum 2 years of Child Care experience CPR and First Aid Certificate Criminal Record Check BC Vaccine card A bit about us: We are working professionals in the healthcare sector who are passionate about raising a caring and compassionate son. We are passionate about nature, exercise, music, and education. We believe in balancing active and engaging play with independent play, always being developmentally appropriate. We encourage mindful behaviours and, though we try not to say 'no', we believe in educating and teaching alternatives when behaviours are not appropriate. Our son is very active and needs someone willing to move, sing, read stories, and play with him. Logistics Part-time (approx. 12 hours per week), but are happy to consider more hours or a nanny share for the right person. Compensation is based on experience In-home for now - though outing might be possible after a couple months Mother works from home and is still nursing so will be around throughout the day, but ideally we'd like someone who can come in and take over childcare and home maintenance, so mom can focus on work.
