Nanny Job in Kingston, Ontario

Hi! We're looking to meet a caregiver/nanny that is the right fit for our family. Everything is negotiable for the right candidate. Mom and Dad both work full time in healthcare and the two toddlers need someone to care for them during the day starting at 0730 on weekdays so Mom and Dad can get ready and out the door for work. We each work from home, in our respective offices, 1-2 times per week. Ideally, we are looking to find someone who we can build a long-term relationship with as our family needs diversify over time. Weekends and evenings are not required but are an option for additional earning. We are a non-smoking and non-pet home. We all get annual flu vaccines and follow public health advice on other vaccines. We are exclusively looking for a non-smoking individual who shares similar values to help protect and care for the vulnerable people living in our home. About us: We are a blended family- we have two thriving and healthy toddlers but we also have an elderly Granny living within a separate suite in the basement of our home. The space is not shared living space. Our two children are the only individuals who require the attention of a future nanny. Each child has their own room and sleep space. We have a number of other rooms in the house they may play or read in. What we are looking for: Our schedules do not change and we do not require last minute scheduling or overnight care. The right fit for us enjoys reading to toddlers, going for walks to the park, and is organized to help maintain our meal and nap schedule. We hold some Montessori style beliefs and are a screenless and free of battery-operated toys in the home. Our children partake in outdoor play, Early On programming, 3 healthy meals, day-to-day chores, and have independent playtime for 10-15 minutes once to twice each day. We're an easy-going family with a low-stress household, we will value and respect the person we hire. It is imperative that we can build a long-term relationship with the person who is caring for our children. Our location: West End. We are located in Kingston, near to many transit stops just off of Johnson & Sir John A in Portsmouth. Duties and Requirements: We're hoping the right candidate can help with light housekeeping related to our children (ie highchairs/floors/counters/kitchen after meals/snacks, occasional laundry to put away). No driving or license is required. About me: I was previously a live-in and live-out Nanny for a number of years.
