Nanny Job in Penticton, British Columbia

We are looking for a warm, compassionate, very experienced individual to work as a care giver to support our 8 year old son who has high functioning autism and is learning at home and to provide home support for the whole family. He is very intelligent, socially connected, empathetic, he presents as a neuro typical boy in many ways, but he gets overwhelmed easily and needs sensory support to help manage anxiety and emotions. He loves hockey, parkour, swimming, games, Minecraft and looking after our puppy. We are using an online learning program so you will not be expected to teach, rather to encourage, support, play and take him to activities. He thrives on play based learning and someone with a great sense of humor and fun and adventure. He needs love, warmth and flexibility. We are attachment and relationship based in our approach. The role also includes household support cleaning, tidying, meal prep, organizing, admin, housework and helping our older son with homework. Qualifications 10 years childcare experience Experience with autism or neurodiversity Experience as housekeeper Patient, kind and caring, team player able to multi-task Ability to work 40 hours a week.
