Nanny Job in Thunder Bay, Ontario

Nice to meet you! My name is Jen. We are a family of six with four children ages 5, twins age 7, and our oldest, 11. We are looking for an energetic, kind, organized nanny with childcare experience and/or a relevant educational background to help us look after our kids and help keep our house running smoothly. The kids all go to the same neighbourhood school. We are looking for someone to work 4 days per week, ideally Monday to Thursday, but that if other days work better for you we can be flexible. You would start the day after the kids go to school, taking care of light housekeeping, some kid laundry, meal prep, and prep for activities with the kids after school. We have wonderful housekeepers who come once a week, so you wouldn't need to worry about the heavier cleaning. When school is in session and in person, start time is flexible and something we can discuss. When school ends at 2:30 you would pick the kids up at school and walk back with them, make them a snack, help them with homework and piano practice, possibly drive them to activities, and stay until around 4:30 p.m. If we return to online school, we would ask you to be there during the day to support them through it. Our oldest is independent, but the twins and youngest would need some help. We're located in the Mariday Park neighbourhood of Thunder Bay, in a walkable neighbourhood full of kids and not far from a bus access point. It's a wonderful community of friendly and helpful neighbours. We have a skating rink across the street for after-school play. We are looking for someone who is ok with kids who can be loud and silly, and who's able to meet them where they're at. Our kids are fun and loveable, working with them is rewarding, and we're supportive, flexible employers. We'll do our best to give you what you need to thrive and enjoy your work. We are fully vaccinated and the kids have their first shots. Covid vaccination and CPR training are a must. Swim supervision experience is a bonus. Starting: As soon as possible.
