Nanny Job in Squamish, British Columbia

About us: We're an outdoor-loving young family located in the Garibaldi Highlands. We work remotely and have a friendly, affectionate lab mix pup. We like to spend our weekends (and now weekdays) hiking/biking/skiing depending on the season. About the work: We're ideally seeking a full-time nanny for our 1.5 year old daughter. Our ideal hours are Monday to Friday from 8am-3:30pm, but we have flexibility on part-time and start and end times based on availability. (e.g. if Mon to Wed is preferred). Our home environment for childcare has two living rooms, with one dedicated as an enclosed child play area (playpen), adjacent to the kitchen and the dining room. The main living room has a configurable climbing set, books and convertible toddler furniture, including kitchen learning tower, table and chair. All child meal prep materials and highchair are readily accessible. There is also a dedicated nap space in the nursery upstairs. We have outdoor playzones as well, including a fenced patio area lined with astroturf and seating area. Our home is also on a trailhead, and we have a brand new Thule chariot for outdoor hikes and bike rides for activities outdoors in all seasons. Regarding style in care - we currently have a no-screen policy at home, and would ideally like our child to continue their development in a screen-free environment fostering secure attachment, discovery, and play based learning. As she gets older we'd like to incorporate age-appropriate reading, writing, and basic math skills to the mix. Budget for materials, outings, etc will be provided. Our daughter naps once daily during lunchtime, so during this time we would welcome any light housework (cleaning up after toys/child), meal prep, laundry (her clothing or diapers) and planning any activities for her. Skills we're looking for include: -Toddler care experience -First aid -Infant and child CPR -English fluency Great to have: -ECE -Multiple children care experience -Fluency in another language Pay is negotiable and dependent on experience, and responsibilities.
