Nanny Job in Red Deer, Alberta

Our current in-home childcare provider is happy to be a reference (she's not fed up with us, just pregnant!) If you'd like to chat with her, just let me know and we'll set it up. The gist is we're average people with above-average kids who are kind, loving and funny, but can be total little a-holes who don't listen, fight and need boundaries and discipline. Our home is clean, our kids clean-ish (I'm kidding...ish) and our vocabulary is downright filthy. HELP!! COMMITMENT: - June/July/August 2024 - Wed/Thurs full days 8am-5:30pm. - School Year Sept 2024 to June 2025 - Wed/Thurs 11:30-5:.... - Summer 2025 - Wed/Thurs full days 8am - 5:30pm ***If you are available on a Mon/Tues/Fri in lieu of a Wed/Thurs, let me know... I have flexibility in my schedule. KIDS: Wyatt (f) 7 & Axton (m) 5 FLEXIBILITY: Ideally, this candidate would be open to having a flexible schedule and is not 100% reliant on but welcomes the added cash. Jeremy does not have a set schedule, meaning he is SOMETIMES home during the week... if he is, he will be parenting our kids and childcare will not be needed. EXPECTATIONS: Imagination, creativity, laughter, love, patience, grace, discipline & a 'yes' disposition. Hang out, teach, craft, engage in learning, play, have fun, go outside, explore, bake, experiment & set/enforce boundaries. Depending on how hungry they get, sometimes they need supper before I can make it home - we're not taking a roast beef dinner, this can be in the form of pizza pops, cereal, oatmeal, french toast, eggs, soup, pasta (ie: chef boyardee..yes, I said it) meat, cheese, hummus, pogo's... I think you get the scoop. If you've got the gumption, I'd love for you to vacuum & clean my floors once a week and I generally need help with laundry. I am THE WORST at getting the laundry folded & put away. SCHEDULE: June-Aug your day will start at 8am & end at 5:30. In June, I will take Wyatt to school & you will pick her up at 3pm. July/Aug free reign. We have a great backyard with lots of fun things to do, a lovely green space out front, 3 parks within walking & multiple parks within biking distance. You are also welcome to take the kids places (walks along the river, Sunnybrook farms, Heritage Ranch). September, your day will start by picking up Axton from AM Kindergarten (around 11:30am). Wyatt's after-school pick-up is at 3pm and I will be home no later than 5:30pm. REQUIREMENTS: A safe & reliable vehicle, along with a clean driving abstract, valid insurance & registration - we will provide the car seats. Since you're hanging out with my kids, a clean & clear background check is also required. Good with dogs - we have an outdoor/garage Yellow Lab who is still learning how to have manners. ASSETS: First aid is preferred. Education or experience in early childhood development is an asset.
