Nanny Job in Ottawa, Ontario

If you are an experienced Ottawa nanny looking to work with a fun and easy-going family, we might be your match! We are a loving family in Ottawa, Ontario seeking a reliable and nurturing caregiver to join us in caring for our very cheerful one year old daughter. This live-out, part-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $20.00 and requires a candidate with CPR/First Aid certification and a strong background in infant care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and stimulating environment for our one year old, engaging in developmentally appropriate activities, and ensuring her well-being and comfort. We have a well equipped playroom and lots of nearby parks. This position requires the ability to prioritize safety, maintain a flexible schedule, and communicate effectively with us as parents. The schedule will be 10 days of care per month from 7:30am to 4pm. We are coordinating this schedule to fill in the gap for my husband's Firefighter shift work. This means we can provide the required work days, which will vary each week, several months in advance for your planning purposes. Our start date is the week of February 26th. With the interview I will be interested in your previous experience, your ideas about how to best engage with a one year old (example activities), how you manage your phone habits while working (example, set breaks for phone use), how you would handle/react to some first aid scenarios, your expectations of the job and communication with us.
