Nanny Job in Calgary, Alberta

We are two work-from-home professionals looking for a warm, caring, and engaged nanny to become a trusted part of our family and care for our daughter. Our daughter is currently 4 months old, so the position will begin with infant care and grow into the toddler years. Schedule September–December 2026: Part-time * Daughter will be approximately 5–8 months old * Flexible: half-days Monday–Friday or 2–3 full days/week * One parent will be on maternity leave and will work closely with the nanny during this transition period * Opportunity to learn our routines and childcare preferences while getting to know our daughter January 2027 onward: Full-time * Daughter will be approximately 9 months old * Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm * Minimum 8-month commitment, with possibility of continuing longer Who we’re looking for The most important thing is finding someone we feel completely comfortable trusting with our daughter and in our home. In particular, we’re looking for someone who: * Has experience caring for infants/young children * Has First Aid/CPR certification * Has ECE Level 1 or 2 (or equivalent training), or significant hands-on childcare experience providing equivalent knowledge and skills * Is warm, patient, responsible, and dependable * Enjoys actively playing, reading, exploring, and creating fun, age-appropriate days * Is comfortable taking initiative and communicating openly * Is a non-smoker * Is comfortable around a large, friendly dog. Dog care is not part of the role * Is able to drive — not required, but a bonus * Speaks Korean — strong preference, but not required. We’d love for our daughter to hear and learn Korean from an early age * Has Montessori experience/training — a bonus, but not required * Is familiar with Elimination Communication (EC) — a bonus, but not required. We are currently practicing EC and will eventually be transitioning to potty training The role Our priority is providing our daughter with fun, engaging, and enriching days. Responsibilities will include: * Play and age-appropriate activities * Reading, music, and outdoor time * Meals and snacks * Diaper changes, naps, and daily routines * Supporting elimination communication and eventual potty training * Outings and activities as she gets older * Small household tasks during downtime, such as meal preparation, laundry, vacuuming, and tidying Childcare is always the priority. We are not looking for a housekeeper. Compensation & Benefits * $25/hour to start, flexible based on experience and fit * 2 weeks vacation per year, accrued from the start of employment * Paid statutory holidays * Formal employee position with payroll and applicable statutory contributions * Minimum 2 references from previous childcare/employment positions * Criminal record check, including Vulnerable Sector Check where applicable * Paid trial day or short paid trial period required as part of the hiring process We value warmth, communication, collaboration, and education, and want to build a relationship where our nanny feels trusted, respected, and comfortable sharing ideas with us.
