Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario

We are looking for afternoon care for our 2 children - 4 and 5. Driving is a requirement as their camp/school is not in walking distance. Hours would be 3-5:30, with the option to start earlier in the day if you’re up for cleaning, cooking and assisting with the household. Our boys are thoughtful, curious and hilarious. We live around Dundas and Prince Edward in the kingsway neighborhood of etobicoke (just west of the humber River) some details: - live out, part time, long term or temporary - able to start ASAP (but flexible) - cooking and cleaning is great if extra hours are preferred - we follow a respectful parenting model, and want someone who will take a gentle and respectful approach to communicating with our kids, while still providing structure and boundaries - more below and happy to discuss more - driver needed. - we have a large backyard and lots of space to play ! The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with young children, an ECE and/or teaching background and/or significant experience and excellent references, as well as CPR and a police check. Covid safety is a priority and we follow all guidelines and take every precaution necessary to keep our community safe. We are vaccinated and appreciate candidates who have taken steps to vaccinate themselves as well. We are seeking someone kind, gentle, patient, energetic, curious. intelligent, self-motivated, warm and committed. We treat our children with respect and are looking for someone to do the same. We want them to jump in muddy puddles, get messy, explore new foods and experiences, be outside, develop their sense of self and self confidence in a supportive environment. We believe that boundaries are healthy, and that structure is important. We support that actions have consequences, but we don’t believe in punishment or time outs.
