We are seeking a Full-time nanny for a long-term position at a competitive pay rate.
About us
- My husband and I are moving to Toronto from San Francisco in early April. We are Canadians that left Toronto 7 years ago but are coming home to raise our two young boys among our parents and siblings.
- We have a 3.5 year old son named Avi who is super curious, adventurous, and outgoing. He will be attending preschool full time.
- We also will have a 3 month old baby boy by the time we move back. Your primary responsibility will be caring for the 3 month old
- We are both very busy working parents - we run our own tech startup, but care immensely for our children and their upbringing
- We've been described by our former nanny as kind and empathetic and easy to work for - we strive to make this a great environment for you to work and bring your best everyday
About the job
Location: Mid Town (nearest subway is Eglinton)
Timing: April 25. This is a long-term position; we strongly prefer someone that wants to stay on for a few years
Live-out position: must be able to provide their own transportation
Hours: 8am to 6pm preferred, Monday through Friday
Driving: Preferred, but not must have
Duties:
-You will primarily be responsible for our 3 month old son, but will also be helping care for our toddler (3.5 years old) when he (a) is on holiday from school, (b) is sick/ school shut down, (c) before or after school
-Support and care for our children with age appropriate activities (no screen time unless approved by us). Examples - going to the museum, park, story time, organizing playgroups
-Support in healthy meal prep for kids and follow parent instructions on feeding (e.g., baby led weaning vs. spoon feeding)
-Prepare bottles for infant (and familiar with handling breast milk)
-Cleaning up after kids and keeping their play spaces tidy
-Light household duties during supervised play. Examples: folding laundry for the family, cleaning dishes, cleaning countertops, vacuuming and tidying of common spaces, chopping veggies
About you
Qualifications:
-10 years experience caring for infants & toddlers.
-CPR certified.
-Up to date on all vaccines .
-Empathetic, caring and loving - strong in social-emotional development
-Creative - can come up with ideas to entertain and engage kids
-Strong references
