Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

Position Type: Part-time, with potential to increase Start Date: ASAP Location: Vancouver, BC (near Granville & Broadway) Child: One child, 9 months old Compensation: $22–25/hour (based on experience & qualifications) About the Role: We’re looking for a warm, reliable, and engaging nanny for our 9-month-old daughter. This position is ideal for someone seeking flexible hours now, with the potential for more regular care in the fall. We're hoping to find someone for three types of care - ideally all with the same person, but we're open to applicants available for just some of them. In your response, please include which care (#1, #2, and/or #3 below) you are interested in. 1. 2–4 Hours/Week (Starting ASAP and throughout summer): We’d love to begin with a few hours per week to help build a connection before my summer training starts (see #2 below). Initially, this will involve playtime while I’m at home, with light support such as meal prep/clean-up. As you and my daughter get more comfortable, the role may grow to include solo care (feeding, diapers, naps, and outdoor time). Extra hours may be available occasionally. 2. Summer Support – Full Days (Top Priority): I’m completing a training program and need care on the following dates: • June: 6, 7, 8, 25 • July: 31 • August: 8, 9, 10 • September: 12, 13, 14 Hours for the above weekday dates are approx. 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. There is flexibility for shorter shifts on the weekend dates. These dates—and establishing familiarity beforehand—are my current top priority. 3. Part-Time Ongoing Care – Starting September: In the fall, we’re looking for a regular nanny or nanny share 2 days/week. Ideally, this would be a natural continuation from earlier care, but we’re open to hearing from those only available for #1 & #2, or #3. Who We Are: • We live near Granville & Broadway in Vancouver • Our daughter is happy, curious, active, and sensitive — she does best with warm, responsive care • We have a friendly cat — comfort with pets is a must • Flexible schedule (aside from the listed training dates) — we’re happy to collaborate on what works best Requirements: • Previous experience with infants • CPR/First Aid certified • Fully vaccinated • Non-smoker • Excellent references • Comfortable with light household tasks (meal prep, laundry, etc.) • Comfortable with cats • Clear criminal record To Apply: If this sounds like a good fit, please send a message with your resume and a bit about yourself.
