Nanny Job in Calgary, Alberta

We are a busy professional couple looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable part-time nanny to join our support system. Our bright and active daughter is 2 years old, and like all toddlers, she is busy exploring the world! Both parents work, so we are looking for someone who can provide reliable care and peace of mind during the workweek. The Role & Schedule This is a flexible, part-time position with two primary components: On-Call Sick-Day Care (Primary Need): When our daughter is under the weather and cannot attend day care, we need a reliable caregiver who is comfortable stepping in to look after her so we can manage our work commitments. Regular/Routine Weekday Care: Occasional scheduled daytime hours during the workweek to help with childcare and keep things running smoothly. Note: We strictly adhere to standard comfort measures for common childhood illnesses (colds, mild fevers, etc.). We do not expect care if it is a severe or highly contagious illness without mutual discussion first. Key Responsibilities Providing attentive, safe, and engaging care for a 2-year-old (reading, indoor play, nap time routine). Comforting and caring for her when she is resting or recovering from mild illnesses (administering fluids, monitoring rest, keeping her cozy). Preparing simple meals or snacks for her during the day. Maintaining a clean and safe environment in the main living/play areas. What We Are Looking For Previous experience caring for toddlers (experience with sick care is a major asset). Reliability and flexibility are key, as sick-day needs can pop up with short notice. CPR and First Aid certification (Required). Clear Criminal Record Check / Vulnerable Sector Check. A warm, patient, and nurturing personality.
