Nanny Job in Victoria, British Columbia

Hi there, We’re a family in Oak Bay looking for regular help 2-3 times per week for 3-4 hours at a time for a 3 month old baby boy. My name is Jolanta and I’m looking for some help with my baby. I haven’t been able to take a maternity leave and work from home. I need an extra set of hands so I can get stretches of work done during business hours. Ideally we’re looking for someone with experience with infants. Hours are very flexible and can work around other jobs or school. My preference is for availability Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday. Mornings, mid-day or afternoons are fine, and the work is between 8/9am to 3/4pm. Weekends are also doable occasionally. The job is pretty easy - just hanging out with the baby while I also work from home. He calms easily, sleeps well and takes a bottle. I’m available to breastfeed as well. You can take him for a walk, hang out at a local cafe, go to the beach/park or just play at home. We have a large-ish house with a yard. When he’s asleep, you can do some of your own personal work like reading, working on the computer or homework. There is no additional house/pet/meal prep work required. We’re looking for a candidate that is comfortable with babies, can hold them, calm them and is OK with baby wearing (this helps a lot). You must be reliable and a good communicator and available until at least January, if not longer. We don’t smoke, or have pets. We have a 5 year old but she’s in kindergarten. Car or ability to drive the baby anywhere is welcomed but not necessary. Pay is $20/hr and up, depending on experience and availability.
