About The Job: Hello my name is Bill. Our family (my in-laws, my wife, myself and two children, ages 4 & 7) are looking to hire an au pair for our home in Maple Bay, British Columbia. We hope to find a hardworking individual who has live-out availability. Hours are pretty flexible. Our home is close to the local Marina and is a beautiful open space on an acreage with ocean views. Duties: -Some housekeeping (making beds, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen, tidying, vacuum, sweeping) -depending on hours, help get kids ready for school/ ready for bed or entertained if at home; kids both go to school full-time and are healthy/ no developmental or behavioural issues -some ironing -possible meal prep -feeding cats if needed (there are 3) -help with seasonal decorating in the house -occasional help with setting up/ help to host some holiday and birthday parties in the future Requirements: -preferably CPR & First Aid (would be willing to pay for you to take a course) -need to be able to drive to get to our home, have own vehicle -need to be vaccinated for COVID (we are all fully vaccinated, except for our 4 yr old, who is not eligible yet) -non-smoker -need to be a Canadian citizen and legally able to work in Canada Assets: -able to speak other languages is an asset--the kids learn French & some Spanish in school, and my MIL speaks fluent Spanish -self-directed, has initiative, willing to learn (MIL is an amazing baker and cook and may need help prepping things for a party for instance) Other Availability: We can be flexible for the right candidate.
