Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario

Hello, We are looking for a French speaking mother's helper to join us this summer, from the last week of June until the first week of Sept. We are ideally looking for part time, 2-3 workdays a week, but are flexible. We try and follow the Montessori Method at home and the girls attend a Montessori preschool Sept-June. I love creating an environment where they kids can be as independent as possible and where they can explore their interests and be challenged. We have a lot of fun, sing a lot of song as we go about our adventures, and try and spend as much time in nature as possible while the warm weather is here. About us and the position: - We are located near Queen and Dufferin St., downtown Toronto. We are looking for someone local/will be local this sumner who will be able to drive or take transit to us. We can help you find parking if needed. - We have 3 children. By June they will be 3 months old (boy, will primarily be my responsibility), 2.5 yrs old (girl, will still nap 1-2pm), 3 years and 10 months (girl, doesn't nap). Both are potty trained. Mostly looking for help with the 2 girls, especially while I'm occupied with the new baby breastfeeding/changing diapers/putting down for naps. - Any experience/interest/curiosity you have in The Montessori Method would be a perk! - About 12-18 hrs per week. - We would like you to communicate completely in French to the kids. Their French speaking abilities are very limited (some basic vocabulary and phrases) but they are given some communication in French at their preschool and we do French songs, books, and TV at home. I think they will catch on quickly. - Join us and lend a hand for meals/snacks, at home activities like getting dressed to go out, clean up, bags packed to go outdoors, walks or transit rides to local parks, splash pads/wading pools/parks, and possibly a couple of bigger trips such as Toronto Islands, or other nearby parks/attractions. - Some light household help will be required and will mostly also involve the girls. Snack/meal prep, baking (rainy day activity), laundry folding, tidying/cleanup. - I'd love you to sing songs/rhymes, play games, and talk to the girls about what you are doing or seeing (ex. On nature walks). - You are welcome to eat with us (what we are eating), and I will cover your transit costs when we take the TTC while you are with us.
