Nanny Job in North Vancouver, British Columbia

We are searching for someone who is kind, compassionate, energetic, and a responsible caregiver for our two children ( 8 years old and 5 years old). Our ideal caregiver is reliable, committed and interested in long-term employment. A typical day consists of preparing the kids for school, making lunches and getting the children to school on time. While the kids are school, we are looking for someone with a keen desire to help keep us organized, do meal prep, do laundry, light cleaning and run household errands like grocery shopping. After school requires school pick-up, attendance at sport activities and preparing dinner. We value someone who wishes to be part of our family team. Our homes are located close to Lynn Valley centre and the Lynn Valley trails. We require someone who has their drivers’ license and safe driving record. We require someone who has their own vehicle that can be used to drive our children to activities and school, and between our homes on the North Shore. The position is Monday - Friday Full time. Hours can be discussed but a preference for a 730am to 530pm schedule. We also can provide some flexibility for time off during school hours. We require full time hours during summer except when we are on vacation. We can accommodate a start date anytime before June 30, 2023 and will consider temporary help while we search for a permanent nanny. Must haves: Up to date first aid, strong communication, legally entitled to work in Canada, minimum three years experience and previous experience with children, non-smoker, good references, drivers’ license and a clean criminal record check. Responsibilities include: -General care of children: meals, organization and daily care -Taking both children to daily activities including school, sports and appointments -Healthy food preparation and cooking -Entertaining and educating children with creative play, reading, art, games, and sports -Some General Housekeeping and organization (e.g. tidying toys, preparing and cleaning up after meals, light housekeeping, house organization and laundry) Competitive salary, paid vacation and paid sick time.
