PERSONAL ASSISTANT/CAREGIVER Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada · Full time OVERVIEW APPLICATION PERSONAL ASSISTANT/ CAREGIVER We are looking for a caring, trustworthy, and compassionate personal driving assistant to become part of our team, reporting directly to the owner. The top priority in this role is to manage the personal calendar of appointments and personal matters such as property maintenance issues and personal appointments. Duties include, but are not limited to: - Personal appointments, manage the elderly parent's appointment schedule and drive. them to their destination and back: (medical appointments, physical therapy appointments, blood monitoring appointments, grocery store, hair appointments, errands, etc.) - Buy food and household items and store them in the right place (for the elderly, owner's house, and office), Accompaniment in medical appointments and other personal appointments. - Companionship and conversation with seniors. - Be the first point of contact with seniors for all their needs. - Medication reminders and appointments. - Keep a record of medication and variation in medication. - Assist with medication administration and personal health needs, and Property Management. -Manage home repairs (change light bulbs, schedule maintenance and repairs with contractors, get quotes from suppliers). - Manage the property with tenants (review the building once a month to see if repairs are needed, meet the technician on site while they do the work, and report and document what has been repaired). - Once a week when you take the landlord in to the office to sign payroll, please review the office supplies and make sure things are in place in the warehouse. - Order an order as needed. Report a summary of what was said in the consultations and actions taken, next steps to be taken so that management is informed. (Can work from home on a laptop or while waiting for them at their appointments) Requirements: - Ability to treat and care for the elderly and their possessions with dignity and respect. - Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and pleasant manner (mainly in Portuguese). - Complete a Vulnerable Sector Check, Driver Summary Possess a valid driver's license (vehicle will be provided). - No road driving with seniors (anxiety issues like driving very slowly). Qualifications 3 years Certificate/College Diploma or University Degree First Aid and CPR course Valid Driver License Basic proficient with Microsoft Office 365 particularly Excel and Word.
