Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

I'm an
Individual
Hello, my name is Denice. Our family of 4 is looking for a part-time nanny/personal support worker. We have an awesome, creative 7.5 year old in grade 2 and a super fun and hilarious 2.5 year old at home full-time. Our 7.5 year loves animals, nature, and crafts and is at school during the day, but would be around after school, on pro-D days, and during the summer. Our 2.5 year old is at home full-time and loves diggers, Paw Patrol, and playing outside. We would love to have a fun, engaging person to hang out with him, and maybe take him to the local Family Place, park, and/or do an online Mother Goose group with him. I do a hybrid of working from home and at my office, so I will sometimes be at home. My husband has been caring for our son while I am working, but he is currently struggling with his mental health and needs support in caring for an energetic 2 year old. My husband is gentle and loving, but has Tourettes syndrome, so it’s important for us to find someone who is understanding of this situation and able to be around someone with a tic disorder. We are hoping to have some every day support caring for our son, which would allow his dad to rest or go to appointments, as well as take some pressure of tidying and meal prep off of my plate. Our expectations for our nanny: - Loves young children - An understanding of respectful/gentle parenting and positive discipline - Fluent in English - An understanding/awareness of mental illness - Light cleaning and simple chores, which could include meal prep - Fully vaccinated (including booster) - Availability: Tuesdays-Fridays, possibility for occasional evenings or weekends, if desired - Criminal Record Check or willingness to obtain - Non-smoking - Bonus, but not required, if nanny has their own car and clean driving record and is able to do some school pick-ups What we offer: - 20-32 hours a week (depending on caregiver's availability and need for hours) - Time: any hours between 8:30-5pm Tuesday-Friday; we are pretty flexible with the time of day - Occasional evenings and weekends, if desired - At least $20/hr, pay is negotiable - A least one adult will typically always be home - We are all fully vaccinated, except for the toddler
