We are a fun, loving, and lively family with two energetic boys (ages 5 and 7), a dog, and two cats. Our household is vibrant and full of activity. Our oldest son is autistic with ADHD and anxiety. He is highly intellectual, thrives on special interests, and is currently homeschooled because traditional school environments aren't the best fit for him. We embrace a low-demand, child-led parenting approach, fostering emotional regulation, and engaging in play-based learning. We need an extra set of hands to keep our home running smoothly and to support our boys' needs with care and creativity. Role Description: We’re looking for someone to join us two days per week (approx. 10 AM – 5 PM, with potential for more hours), offering lots of flexibility. Located in Bridgewater Forest Your responsibilities will include: • Engaging in creative, unstructured, child-led, play-based learning activities while seizing moments for structured learning when opportunities arise. • Supporting emotional regulation by recognizing early signs of dysregulation and being able to adapt plans as needed. • Valuing downtime and understanding the role of screen time in regulation (bonus if you're familiar with Minecraft or Roblox). • Assisting with household tasks such as laundry, light housekeeping, sorting toys, and meal prep. About You: We are looking for someone who is: • Flexible, adaptable, creative, energetic, and proactive • Experienced in childcare or educational assistance, especially with children who have learning differences and behavioral challenges. • Warm, patient, nurturing, and an excellent communicator, with the ability to build strong connections with our children.
