Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario

Hello! We're Anson and Cassandra, parents to a happy, healthy 16 month old boy named Ronan. Ronan is our only child and we don't have any pets. We own our own businesses and work primarily from home. We love taking care of our son but we need some dedicated work time. We are looking for an experienced nanny to come to our home for one day a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday) for the day (approximately 9 - 5). We may progress to occasional childcare in the other days or evenings, scheduled in advance. Typically we'd be available in our home offices but working while you care for our son. Our Ideal Nanny: We ask that you have CPR / First Aid and a cleared criminal background check, and at least two good references we can contact. Your enthusiasm and engaged relationship with our son is crucial. Punctuality and physical ability to keep up with a toddler are important (our house has stairs). We would also want you to issue invoices or sign a receipt for your pay. Good communication and comfort with us is needed since we will be sharing the home. Our preference is someone in our area of the city (East end / Beach). A background in early childhood education is a plus but not a requirement. A paid trial period will help make sure everyone is a good match. We have a good flow to our days that includes regular meal, snack and nap times. We do not like screens for Ronan and would want you to only be on your phone if absolutely necessary. We live in a great neighbourhood with parks, playgrounds, libraries and drop in centres within walking distance. Of course we think our son is amazing, but he is truly engaged with people and interested in learning. He loves to play peekaboo, roll balls, and laugh at sneezes. Light tidying (doing dishes, putting away toys, helping prepare meals) would be ideal when possible. Job Location: We are located in the Upper Beaches, north of Kingston Road between Main Street and Victoria Park Ave. Accessible by transit, either streetcar (Kingston Rd.), or subway to bus transfer (Gerrard St). Starting: As soon as possible. We were away for a vacation earlier in the summer but now we are home and ready to start interviews.
