Nanny Job in Comox, British Columbia

We are a family of four living in Comox. We have a 8 yr old son who is a gentle soul, imaginative, and loves reading, singing, dancing and being outside! He has just started grade 4 this year and takes the bus home from a local school. We also have a 4 year old girl, who is extremely talkacative, precocious, has an amazing sense of humor and loves arts and crafts, dressing up and having dance parties riding her bike and climbing trees!! She attends an outdoor nature preschool from 9-3pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday( although right now we are doing half days to ease her into it) Everyone who works with our children say they are an absolute joy! My husband and I are both shift workers, and need someone whose schedule is flexible. with some weeks being heavier, including some weekends and evening. He also works away 10days a month, and during that time I need more support. We also like to travel, and there would be some weeks when we are away, so you would have time off. We know our schedule months in advance so we can easily work around your needs as well, and times that you need off. If you are the right person, we are highly motivated to make it work for the both of us and we will take great care of you and pay you well. We value open communication and addressing any concerns right away so that we can have a harmonious relationship! We live in a beautiful house with tons of windows and ocean views, 2 doors down from a beach access and walking distance to 2 parks. It is a beautiful place to live and is well organized and an awesome place to work. We would love to have someone who wants to be outside rain or shine, who is independent and self motivated to get the kids outside and adventure. I am also looking for someone to really anticipate our household needs and to be self motivated. Ideally I am really looking for a family assistant. For example one day you could go and do some shopping, come back and put the groceries away, tidy up a bit and then have a super fun play with the kids while I get some activity in. Another day would be going out on an afternoon adventure with the kids, and then dropping one off at soccer practice. Another day could be putting the kids to sleep while my husband and I have a date night. Light cleaning, laundry, and cooking healthy meals for the children are important, but we would have a house cleaner to do all the big dirty work. Our kids eat almost everything(ie my daughters favorite food is broccoli!), have no allergies and no medical issues. Having your own drivers license is a must, as well as being Covid vaccinated.
