Nanny Job in Victoria, British Columbia

Gordon Head, Mount Doug Area. Nanny (Full - Time) Our family is interested in hiring a full-time nanny to care for our children for around 35 hours a week. We are looking for someone who can work 6 hour shifts starting at noon, and the occasional evenings and weekends. During the week this would mostly be looking after our 1 year old while the other two children are in school. However, on weekends or evenings it maybe taking one or both of the boys to an activity. The baby will be starting Daycare in July, so the position would change hours a bit. Most days would look like a 2:00pm start, with general tidying and food preparation, then picking everyone up from school and daycare. The older children are in evening activities, so you would be taking them to some of those, as well. This position will require quite a bit of driving, so we are looking for someone with a clean driving record and who is comfortable driving larger vehicles (mini van and SUV) We are seeking an experienced, caring professional who truly enjoys spending time with kids. Responsibilities: - Supervise the baby at all times. - Engage in fun learning based activities and pretend play - Play outside when the weather permits - Tidy the common household areas - Teach the children good social manners - Prepare dinner occasionally - Fold laundry and light tidying Qualifications and Requirements: - Experience caring for babies - High School Graduate - 3 years experience caring for children - Training in early childhood education preferred - First aid training and child and infant CPR - Reliable, honest, and trustworthy - Physical ability to care for young children - Ability to plan, organize, and multitask with minimal supervision - Two valid references
