Nanny Job in Burnaby, British Columbia

Nice to meet you, potential Nannies and Home Helpers! We are looking for part time childcare for our 5 year-old daughter, Hazel, and our almost-8-year-old son, Haydn, particularly through the summer months of May, June and July, when I will be away from home for work. We live in Burnaby Heights near Gilmore Elementary and Hastings. We are open to all possibilities. Managing our kids is a challenge at the best of times, but to do so alone would be particularly tough on my wife, Megan. We're looking for someone who could be with us a couple of times a week, not only supporting and playing with our children when they are not in school, but also helping with the little things at home, like tidying up at the end of the day, some laundry, and even meal-prep (we are a FreshPrep family). It's really important for us to find someone who is very energetic and will engage in creative play with our kids. Haydn and Hazel are both smart cookies that love reading books, building with Lego and magnets, drawing, making up games, and dancing to the worst music. We are big fans of Janet Lansbury's teachings and hope to find a caregiver who encourages communication and support with our kids, especially when things are bumpy between the two.
