Nanny Job in Victoria, British Columbia

I'm an
Agency / Company
Hello - thanks for taking a look at our profile. Thanks in advance for reading the entire ad before making an inquiry. We're looking for a part-time mother's helper to assist with household chores and errands during the week. This will likely include tidying up dishes, light meal prep, laundry, etc and may also include childcare on occasion for our girls (2.5 and almost 4 year old). We do have a house keeper who comes 1/week so your role would be to help us keep on top of general tidiness, not the actual house cleaning. Also- it's important to note that at this moment we have a general idea of what we're looking for, but that the scope of the role and hours may either increase or decrease as time goes on and we get a better sense of what we need and what works for our family (see below for more info on who we are). With that in mind, this role will likely fit best with someone who is likely looking to fit in extra hours, not someone who sees this as their main source of income. In an ideal world, you would be available for 2-3 days/week and between 6-10 hours. Here's a bit about us: We are a military family. I work full time, from home for Oxfam Canada and Matt is on the HMCS Vancouver here in Victoria B.C. Matt's hours are variable and he will start sailing end of May (full deployment doesn't happen for some time). We have a great daycare that takes care of the kids in the day and then I mostly solo-parent during the evening which is when I often try to catch up on admin from work and tidy up. . . life is busy! And this is why we are really looking forward to you joining our family. Requirements: - Reliable - shows up on time, communicates ahead of time if unable to make a shift - Trustworthy - Ability to go with the flow - Strong work ethic and ability to take initiative - Authorization to work in Canada - Your own vehicle (I may need you to run an errand (e.g. pick up online grocery order) - Up-to-date first aid training and child and infant CPR (will be required to show certificate) * References required Also - worth noting is that our eldest demonstrates possible high anxiety and sensory processing disorder to ideally someone who has experience dealing with this, will be helpful. Thank you for your interest - we're very interested in a good fit, so if you're interested, lets schedule a call and then a trial day if things work from there. Thanks for your interest! Amber, Matt, Ella and Claire
