Nanny Job in Maple, Ontario

Nanny/House Manager/Family Assistant Hello!! We are looking for an experienced, reliable, organized Nanny/House Manager/Family Assistant who is fun-loving with good judgment on safety, emotional wellness and enjoys being active and can entertain, educate and keep a 6 yo boy who has lots of questions - feel safe and secure. We also have medium sized family-friendly well-trained (non-shedding/hypo-allergenic) dog. This is a part-time live-out position with the potential of becoming a permanent full-time position, pre-dominantly during weekday hours, and occasional weekend hours. Primary Responsibilities include: > Care and supervision of 1 child, which includes the following: o Help support our family’s healthy and active lifestyle o Assist with various activities at home and outdoor o Assist with establishing and maintaining family’s daily schedules, routines and responsibilities o Pick-up from school (walking distance from home), prepare and provide snack, help with homework o Take child to after-school activities / classes with the child > General Household duties: o Housekeeping – maintaining clean, tidy and organized residence (all general cleaning duties) o Assist in meal planning, meal preparation, reheating food, plating meals, clean-up after meals o Assist in weekly household laundry (wash, fold, store) and bedding cycle o Assist keeping stock of household product inventory, food inventory and shopping lists o Shop for household supplies (as requested) o Run errands (as may be requested from time to time o Assist in preparing for travel for the family, o Other duties as may be required (e.g. assisting with pet care, gardening / watering plants) > Personal Assistant o Assist with home-office admin such as managing To-Do list, filing, inbox management, photocopying, proof-reading, and small projects depending on candidates skills and interest. Training will be provided. Job Requirements • 3 years of working in a private residence or similar role • Experience working as a nanny and/or relevant qualifications • Fluent in English, both verbal and written • Ability to anticipate the needs of the family • Trustworthy and flexible with a can-do attitude • Able to maintain high levels of confidentiality and privacy • Warm and comfortable around children • Preferable CPR or First Aid certified • Driver’s license • Own transportation preferred or vehicle will be provided for work duties as needed Certificates/Licenses: Full G license and a clean driving record is required Additional information: Background check will be performed if selected for the role. References required. Salary: $20 per hour.
