Nanny Job in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Looking for: Someone to help out here and there with our 3.5 year old daughter. I would also love some help organizing around my house if possible. We have two cats so the person must be ok with pets around. Ideally you have your own form of transportation, or live in our neighbourhood. We are located in Fairview, in a secure building just past the Giant Tiger off of Dutch Village Rd. Our child: Luna is 2.5 years old and very active, talkative & excited about life and learning/trying new things (especially physical activities). She is able to fully communicate verbally & is potty trained. She doesn't nap regularly but sometimes falls asleep in the stroller. She has no allergies, and enjoys basically all food. We don’t keep sugar in the house or give it to her unless it’s natural sugars (cane etc) in small amounts as a special treat. We practice attachment/conscious parenting style & I still nurse her on demand & bedshare at night. We communicate with her on her level and do everything we can to help her cultivate her confidence and strength. The person who cares for her must respect or share our beliefs on parenting style as it is very important to us. Massive bonus if you speak Hindi, as Luna is half Indian and I would love for her to have some exposure to the language from a young age. About us: My partner (Mitch) and I met when I was 5 months pregnant with Luna and decided to build a life together. I am from Ontario and he is from here in Halifax. I chose to get pregnant on my own terms, while travelling in India when I turned 30. I had been wanting a baby for a long time and just knew it was the right time for me. Mitch is 100% Lunas Dad, just not biologically. We are very active parents & we love to run around and be silly with Luna. We make sure to take her to play or walk outside at least once per day. Our family’s story is unique and I would love to find someone who compliments our dynamic and brings a fresh & loving energy into the mix.
