Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

We are looking for an occasional babysitter for our 2-year old son, starting immediately. He normally goes to daycare from 9 to 5 Monday to Friday, and we need someone who is available for the occasional weekday evening, weekend care, or if he needs to stay home during working hours because of sickness, daycare ProD days, etc. We live in the Commercial Drive area, very close to Trout Lake park. In these times of COVID-19, my husband and I are both working from home. We are fully vaccinated, and would require you to be fully vaccinated as well. Key Qualifications: - Experience with toddlers - Must be legally eligible to work in Canada - Current (toddler) First Aid and CPR certificates are preferred - ECE is an asset - Excellent English communication skills - speaking Farsi is an asset - Clean background check- a criminal record check will be asked of you, we are happy to pay for this. - We would require references. - Comfortable around dogs (we have a loving mini Goldendoodle, medium size) - We strongly prefer someone whose schedule allows them to be available on short notice. Responsibilities: - Taking care of our son is your top priority and, - We’d like to find someone who could do some meal/snack prep for him and light housekeeping while he naps / sleeps. - Tidying up after him, loading/unloading the dishwasher, laundry and folding his laundry - only if time allows.
