Part-Time | Immediate Start We are a warm, busy family seeking a trusted, proactive Family Assistant to provide hands-on childcare and independently manage household needs. This is a true hybrid Nanny / House Manager role for someone who enjoys caring for children and keeping a household running smoothly — and who wants to act as a genuine extension of our family. ________________________________________ About the Family • 2 children, ages 5 (Daycare) and 7 (Grade 2) • Active after-school schedules • Looking for someone reliable, organized, and warm who can grow with our family ________________________________________ Schedule • Tuesday to Thursday, 1:30 PM – 6:30 PM • Pick up from Bus stop @ 3:30 and Pick up from Daycare @ 5:00 • Additional hours typically available on PD days and school holidays • Start date: As soon as possible ________________________________________ Role Overview • When the children are home: childcare is the priority • When the children are at school: household management and support take priority This role requires independence, initiative, and a high level of trust. ________________________________________ Childcare Responsibilities • Driving children to after-school activities • Attentive care, supervision, and engaging play • Supporting after-school routines and transitions • Preparing and packing school lunches for the following day • Assisting with dinner meal preparation • Creating a safe, positive, and nurturing environment ________________________________________ House Manager Responsibilities (during school hours and as needed) • General house cleaning, tidying, and organizing • Household and children’s laundry (wash, fold, put away) • Light meal prep and kitchen upkeep • Running errands (groceries, household items, etc.) • Proactively keeping the home stocked, organized, and running smoothly • Anticipating needs and taking initiative without constant direction ________________________________________ Requirements • Previous experience in a nanny, house manager, or family assistant role • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle • Mileage reimbursed for child-related driving • Police clearance / criminal record check • Comfortable driving children daily • Highly reliable, organized, and detail-oriented • Able to work independently and manage time effectively • Warm, patient, trustworthy, and professional ________________________________________ Compensation • $25 per hour, depending on experience • Mileage reimbursement provided ________________________________________ Who This Role Is For This role is ideal for someone who: • Enjoys both childcare and household management • Takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized home • Values consistency and long-term relationships • Wants to be a meaningful, trusted part of a family’s daily life If this sounds like a role you’d thrive in, we’d love to hear from you.
