Nanny Job in Coquitlam, British Columbia

Hi there my name is Jodie. My family is looking for a part time nanny to look after my little boy at our home over the months of July & August while we transition back to work. HOURS - We are looking for 7 hrs a day on Tuesdays & Thursdays - Hours are 8:45 am to 3:45 pm *Please note that both parents work from home and have flexible jobs, so if you needed different hours or different days of the week, we are very open to alternative timing that works well for you RESPONSIBILITIES - Care for the baby, keep him safe  - Meals will be already made but you will need to prepare them and clean up kitchen after meals - Keeping the floors clean around where baby is eating and crawling - Play and have fun with the baby – going to the park, walks, crafts, songs, books, library time etc - Keeping the house clean - cleaning up the play area   ABOUT YOU - You love kids! - Fluent conversational English - Experience caring for infants - Able to provide contact info for at least 2 professional references - Able to provide a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check - Punctual, dependable - Caring and compassionate - Discipline with a kind but firm approach - Happy to spend time with baby outdoors ABOUT ME Mom and Dad are originally from Zimbabwe but have been living in Canada for 6 years. We enjoy adventuring, camping in the summer and getting out to see and explore new things. Our values in life are family - we are a very close family. Mom has been on mat leave since baby was born, and will be transitioning back to work over 2 months until baby starts full time daycare in September. Wanting to gently approach this new world for baby and feel a 2 day week away from mom and dad will be an easier stepping stone. Our baby is very calm, and gentle, he loves to smile and is curious for all things new around him. His favorite activities are looking at books, going for walks, and been walked around the house as he learns to stand on his own 2 feet. He eats and sleeps very well (once you put him down for a nap, you walk away, and he doesn’t make a peep). You get at least 1 hr of downtime during each of his naps. Either mom or dad will be at home on the days you will look after baby incase there is anything you need and run a very relaxed household.
