Nanny Job in Red Deer, Alberta

Oh hellooo!! I’m a Mama to a hilarious, smiley, cute 10 month old girl. She's now walking! I have a holistic approach to parenting and appreciate my nanny having the same. We do baby led weaning, organic food, gentle parenting (no harsh discipline, just communication and being assertive when needed), have a montessori-ish approach to play and daily activities, and don't watch tv. As it's warmer now, we spend more time in the backyard too. A bit about me personally, I am a spiritual life coach and intuitive medium. Bonus points if you’re also openminded, holistic and a bit crunchy! You would be working flexible part time hours. Anywhere from 2-15 hrs a week. I work from home and am also starting a part time job out of the home. Both will have varying hours, but with my business I can be a bit more flexible. Your schedule may vary week to week and I will do my best to let you know as far in advance as possible! I will have some later evenings if I'm working out of the home, where you may need to put baby to bed around 8 and just hangout until around 10:30pm until I'm back. It's unlikely you'll work any earlier than about 10:30am as my schedule doesn't require it. I also have a sweet larger dog, he's just over a year old and is still very much a playful puppy at heart. He is kennel trained but also loves being involved and part of the fam. So being comfy with him hanging out, letting him out to pee and back in, would be amazing. General baby duties: Following her around when she explores the house, and making sure the baby gate is closed at all times! Baby-Led Weaning mealtimes (knowing the difference between gagging and choking is critical), making formula, putting baby to bed, batheing, teaching words, singing songs, playing inside and in the yard, putting down for naps, changing, light housekeeping (if you have the time), reading, etc. Mostly, I just need my baby to be as content as possible while I run my sessions via zoom calls in my office. She will likely still cry at times, but minimizing this by learning her feeding, sleeping, bored cues and acting in a timely manner, would be AMAZING! Preference given to those that have experience with and love caring for baby toddlers, have childcare education, CPR/First aid, can be flexible in scheduling and are looking to work for us longer term. washing hands before handling the baby. not coming to work if you're sick. the usuals
