I have an opening for a Personal Support Worker/Nurturing Assistant “mother’s helper” in Vaughan, multiple shifts available, 8 hour shifts or less, incl day, evening, overnight shifts available. JOB OPPORTUNITY Seeking female PSW/caregiving assistants & nurturing assistants for a newborn infant: I am a young woman, with a physical disability who is looking to hire a personal support worker to assist me in my daily routine as well as help me care for my infant through direction. I normally work full-time but am currently on maternity leave. I hope to work with someone who is flexible, takes direction, reliable, efficient and who has experience working with newborns. Job responsibilities: Assistance with personal care, transferring, hair/hygiene, housekeeping. Nurturing assistance: Helping with infant care (transferring baby, feeding, bottle making, cleaning, bathing, etc.) light housekeeping, some laundry, Start: Mid September/early October Location: Major intersection- Teston and Weston Road. Location not accessible by transit. Access to a vehicle preferred but alternate arrangements can be figured out. Hours: 8 hour shifts or less. Multiple shifts available including daytime, evening, overnight. Pay: $17-19 per hour (dependent upon experience/shift). Not a cash job. Qualities: Reliable, quick learner, positive workplace attitude, willingness to learn new tasks, some flexibility in scheduling would be helpful. Comfort around babies. Some physical tasks such as bending, lifting, reaching, etc. are required. No prior experience required! All training will be paid. Infant cpr a bonus or willingness to take cpr classes. Ideal position for a university/college student looking to acquire regular paid hours without the burden of a full-time job. Or someone who is a trained caregiver.
