Nanny Job in Langley, British Columbia

Hello! My name is Jessica and I'm a family in Langley, BC looking for a nanny for my home. Hello! We're a family of four (plus a 2 yr old dog) looking for help to take care of our two girls: Olivia and Madison. Olivia is 3 and Madison is currently 7 months old. My husband operates his own glazing company. I am a Registered Massage Therapist and will be increasing my work hours in January. We'll need about 28 to 30 hours of coverage. There may be an odd day that we'd need you to stay an extra hour or two in the event either of us need to work later than expected; but we'll make sure to communicate with you ahead of time. Our ideal candidate is someone that will take great care of both Olivia and Madison. We'd hope that the candidate loves playing, learning, exploring, creating, and reading. Olivia is used to learning center style structure and thrives with positivity, challenges, and imagination. Madison is starting to become more mobile, so diligence is very very critical to help keep her safe while learning and exploring her environment. Clear and open communication is very important to us. We hope to work with you as a team to help ensure our girls needs are met while also maintaining your needs too. We need someone who is committed for a minimum of one year and will help provide stability for the girls while both my husband and I are working. All responsibilities involving child minding such as cooking, preparing meals and snacks for the girls, taking them outside, keeping them tidy and entertained, etc. are expected. We can provide you access to a car on days that transportation is needed. A valid drivers license is required. Other duties that we'd like to have happen includes running our dog in the back yard, keeping the house tidy for when we return home, and if possible, maintain the kitchen area, sanitize the bathroom counters, and vacuum the main living areas (mudroom, kitchen, playroom, and living room). Start date will be officially January 2, 2024. You can start in December if you'd prefer. If you have any vacations/holidays that you are aware of and will need time off work, please let us know at the time of the interview. We most likely can accommodate your vacation as long as there is enough notice provided. From then on, I will typically need three months advance notice. Required: - Standard first aid and CPR - experience with infants - criminal record check - references Assets: - experience with working in daycare/child minding programs - experience in children/youth programs that create learning programs.
