After-Daycare Nanny Needed for 2 Great Kids ages 3 yrs & 15 months Our Family Hello! We are looking for a part-time nanny to care for our two boys, aged 3 years and 15 months, on weekday afternoon/evenings starting in August or September. Our youngest loves to cuddle, babble and play and we are hoping to find someone who really connects with him. Our eldest is curious and energetic and our ideal nanny would be able to engage him in conversation and supervise other activities. My spouse and I both work regular hours five days a week. We currently work from home, but will eventually return to work downtown and typically return home between 6pm and 7pm. Our house is located near Main St & Kingston Rd — a 10 minute walk from the Danforth GO Station (Main Street TTC Subway Station is also close by) Your Role This position requires a nanny to be in sole charge of our energetic children, providing care, meals and supervision for when the kids finish daycare/school until we get home from work. The usual hours would be 3pm-7pm Monday to Friday (minimum 20 hours per week). Currently, this would mean that: you arrive at our house at 3pm to prepare dinner, tidy up the kitchen and do the children’s laundry; then pick up the kids from school or daycare at around 4:30pm (8 minute walk); and then feed them a small snack followed by dinner around 5:00, tidy up and supervise their play until we arrive home from work at around 7pm. Our 3 year-old is potty trained, although he may require some assistance from time to time. We are looking for someone who is patient, empathetic, and caring, and who appreciates the challenges that toddlerhood brings in terms of children’s emotional, physical and personal development. Other Details: The suitable applicant must meet the following criteria: • Experience working with toddlers. • Received 2 doses of a COVID vaccine. • First Aid Certification. • Criminal Record Check. • Non-smoker. • Comfortable administering an Epi-pen if required (our youngest has a sesame allergy). We are able to pay up to $20 per hour, and are seeking someone who will be a long term stable presence in our kids’ lives and development. We also have a small hypoallergenic dog (no tasks required for him, apart from perhaps letting him out into the backyard).
