My name is Natalie and my husband and I live in Lambeth with our son and small dog. We are both young(ish) professionals. Our son will turn 1 in September. I will be ending my maternity leave and returning to work part-time Mon-Wed in Oct 2021, and we are looking for a Nanny to care for our son during those days and complete child-related/light housework. Job Basics: • Start date Oct 4, 2021 • Guaranteed 30 hrs/wk • Mon - Wed • 8 AM to 6 PM • Overtime over 30 hours possible, if agreed upon in advance • Mileage compensated • Potential for full-time beginning in Jan 2022 Job Profile: Our ideal candidate is intelligent, compassionate, fun, energetic, and kind. We are looking for someone who will become a positive part of our son’s life and daily routine, who will encourage his curiosity, plan fun activities, get on the floor and play with him, and read to him. Our son’s safety must be the #1 priority. We are looking for someone to become an important part of our family and team during this formative time in our son’s life. We are a inclusive household and are raising our son to be tolerant, kind, empathetic and to respect everyone regardless of their race, religion, ethnicity, sex, gender, ability and age. We therefore do not tolerate discrimination of any kind and it is imperative that our Nanny share similar values. Our ideal candidate must be comfortable with parents sometimes working from home, in an office space separate from living and main areas of home. Candidate Profile: • Kind, friendly, energetic, positive, patient, loving, fun, respectful, genuine, caring, active • Respectful of space and home • Previously cared for children < 2 • CPR and First Aid • Police Check • Drivers license Nanny Duties: • Safely care for our son is the #1 priority • Play with and entertain our son, read to him and take him on walks • Plan activities and outings as appropriate • Follow a nap schedule (safe sleep practices) • Feed him • Ensure he is clean and appropriately dressed • Pack diaper bag • Ensure baby supplies are stocked Housekeeping: • Maintain general organization and tidiness of the home (dishwasher, wipe down counters, sweep up any messes, clean up after activities, wipe down play area at the end of the day) • Food preparation • Tidy/clean baby’s room • Baby laundry If this job sounds like a good fit for you, we would absolutely love to hear from you!
