Mother’s Helper for Two Homes in Southeast Burlington Job Description Job Requirements: - Valid G licence - CPR/First aid - Vulnerable sector check and at least one reference Hours: 24 hours per week (days/times TBD) shared between two families on the same street There is optional extra work that varies on a week to week basis (based on employer’s schedule) if desired. Salary: Hourly rate is negotiable based on experience. Job Responsibilities: *Please note that the duties will vary between the two households** -Laundry for all members of household (wash, dry/hang and fold – do not need to put away) -Light cleaning (including sweeping or vacuuming carpets/floors, wiping counters/sink) -Washing and putting away dishes (including from dishwasher) -Child care of children ages 8 months to 4 years old (one parent would be home but not fully available and so duties would include feeding light snacks/bottles, playing with children, changing or toileting children, helping to put down for naps, and assisting with morning/bedtime routine) - (maximum 2 children at a time) -Food preparation – including cutting and washing vegetables, lettuce preparation for salads, washing fruits and placing storage containers in fridge, boiling eggs, taking out meat for defrosting, putting prepared meals in oven) -Care of family dog – feeding, brushing, walking -Organizing cupboards/drawers as requested by employer if time permits Possible additional duties for future as decided upon by employer/employee
