Nanny Job in Mississauga, Ontario

We are excited to open our home and family to the care of an experienced Nanny. The individual’s primary responsibility will be the care of our young daughter (born December 2022)) during working hours. My family requires an extra set of hands to help with our little one, also light housekeeping, occasionally meal preparation. Additional responsibilities may include light-housekeeping and cooking as it relates to our child’s care. We have a tidy, pet-free and smoke-free environment. This individual will be an integral part of our child’s circle of care and will play a key role in nurturing her growth and development. We are looking for an individual who works collaboratively, demonstrates initiative and is experienced in child care. It is an asset if you have a drivers license. The ideal employee would have at least a year of experience and CPR training. Key Roles & Responsibilities - Organise creative and educational games (e.g. drawing, crafting, etc.) - Provide age-appropriate educational training through organised activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings - Reinforce teaching of appropriate social behaviours (i.e. be respectful, help with chores) - Ensure safety during indoor and outdoor activities - Take child to relevant local community programs (EarlyOn Centres and Library Programs) Nutrition - Prepare child’s meals and feed them (includes bottle-feeding) Well-Being - Day to day activities including changing diapers and scheduled naps - Take care of child in case of injury or illness - Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development - Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home Housekeeping - Tidy up play areas and child’s room - Perform housekeeping tasks as needed (in relation to the child’s activities) Collaboration & Communication - Update Baby Tracker app with relevant information of the child’s daytime activities - Keep parents informed of any changes in the child’s wellbeing
