Nanny Job in New Westminster, British Columbia

Hi There, **Our nanny position fell through and we are still looking for a nanny.** - posting has been updated. My name is Rebecca and my husband’s name is Bruce. We are a family of three (plus 2 cats - friendly). Our daughter is almost 18 months old. We’re a friendly and easy-going family. We love the outdoors and going on adventures. Our daughter is a funny loving toddler. She loves to read books, sensory play, and playing outside. She's a good eater and napper. She listens well but does have an independent toddler streak. She's a busy little girl that needs to run and play. We are looking for a part-time nanny for Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 am to 3 pm. I will be working from home and periodically available for questions during shifts. Skills and caregiver style: - promotes independence in daily tasks and play - engaging play and active/involved nanny - Montessori style of learning - uses baby sign language to help communicate (more, bath, water, please, thank you, eat) - taking little one to the park, nature walks, crafts, reading, playing - prepping snacks and meals Other duties during nap: - clean the bathrooms - clean the kitchen - light house cleaning (floors, counters etc) - dinner prep occasionally Qualifications - previous childcare experience with toddlers - Criminal record check in the last 5 years - References Our location: we're located in New Westminster, 7-10 mins walking distance from 22nd street station and multiple bus stops. Overall flow of the day: - help start and/or finish breakfast - get her dressed for the day - play inside or outside - snack time - nap time - lunch - afternoon activity - snack - tidy up toys and dishes from the day - first aid training Start date: As soon as possible - Wednesdays and Thursdays (hopefully by October 30 and Nov 1) We are offering $25/hr for 14 hours per week gross either by contractor rate or employee status
