Nanny Job in Oakville, Ontario

We’re a welcoming, newly married couple who have called Oakville home for many years, and we’re expecting our first baby this September. As we prepare for this exciting new chapter, we’re looking for a nurturing, experienced, and reliable full-time nanny to join our family and support us with newborn care and day-to-day household needs. This is a Monday to Friday, full-time position, beginning in early September. We are open to both live-in and live-out arrangements, with an hourly rate starting at $23, to be adjusted based on the nanny’s experience and living arrangement. Looking for over 2 years experience. Responsibilities include: Full care of our newborn: feeding, changing, soothing, and engaging in age-appropriate developmental activities General housekeeping to help keep our home clean, organized, and running smoothly Light meal preparation for the household Maintaining a warm, safe, and supportive environment for our growing family Additional Details: CPR certification is required You’ll be working alongside mom for the first 6 to 8 months, as she’ll be at home on maternity leave before returning to work We value kindness, reliability, and open communication—and we’re excited to welcome someone who shares those values into our home Interview & Vetting Process: To ensure the best fit for our family and the safety of our newborn, we follow a thoughtful, multi-step hiring process: Initial phone or video interview to get to know you and your childcare philosophy In-person interview in our home to better understand your approach and for you to get a feel for our space Reference checks with at least two recent families you’ve worked with Background check and vulnerable sector screening Verification of CPR certification and other relevant training or education Trial half-day (paid) to observe interaction, communication, and comfort with our baby and home We’re looking for someone with newborn and infant care experience, a warm and calming presence, and a genuine passion for supporting families during this special stage of life.
