Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

Full-time live-in nanny position to assist very busy professional couple in Vancouver commencing ASAP. Nanny will be taking care of 2.5 year old girl and 6 month old boy. Your responsibilities include: reading, feeding, bathing and playing with children. You will also be regularly required to take children to nearby park and other activities, as well as prepare nutritious meals. Other duties include keeping records of daily activities, housekeeping, laundry and preparing some family meals. Nanny is required to have at least one year of experience with newborns, excellent command of written and spoken English, clean criminal check, as well as CPR and First Aid certification. Attributes such dependability, flexibility, responsibility and ability to care for children according to requested methods are required. Full-time hours will be guaranteed, but will be extremely variable each day and each week. Days will routinely start as early as 6:30am but finish times are much more unpredictable due to the nature of our work - this unfortunately means that unexpected late days are common and do not allow for other part-time work. Annual salary will be based on experience. Benefits will include 2 weeks of paid vacation, as well as other negotiables. Successful candidates should have at least 2 recent references and be willing to make at least a 1 year commitment, but will hopefully become part of our family and stay much longer.
