Nanny Job in Dorchester, Ontario

We have no issues sponsoring someone but you must already be in possession of a work permit - this is not something we can obtain on your behalf unfortunately*** Hello we are a family in Dorchester, Ontario with two young children (8 and 5) and require a nanny to start sooner rather than later! My wife and I both work shifts in essential services and we do 24 hours 7-8 times a month - usually scattered around. Both children will be in school (hopefully) during the school year and we will predominantly require before and after school care as well as overlapping evenings/overnights that my wife and I have. So full time hours will be spread over a week. It's a 'confusing' schedule to explain but once you get the idea of it, it makes sense. In general there may be one weekend day or so per month where you may be required. This is a full-time position with unconventional working hours. I've included a sample "September 2020" schedule to give you an idea of our schedule. The good thing is we know the schedule well ahead of time so planning for it is easy. Apart from child-care. you'll be expected to let the dogs out and feed them on occasion (you must love dogs!). They are large dogs - way too friendly, spoiled, cheeky and beloved and want nothing more than your attention! Cooking for the children as well as basic housework when the kids aren't around will be required. My wife says what we need is a 'house manager'! This is a perfect position for anyone wanting flexibility. For example, if you are doing grad-work and require lots of time to put into your studies, but still want to make some money and possibly free-room-and-board - this is a perfect set-up for you! If you are new to Canada and wanting to learn the language, culture, and possibly pursue some studies - this is a perfect opportunity for you. Room and board are also open for discussion and is the preferred set-up unless you happen to live really close by. There are evenings when you will be required to sleep here during the month as well (or show up really early in the morning when I leave for work but my wife is still on call.... for example). If applying from out of the country, please only do so if you already have a work-permit lined up and are only requiring a family to sponsor you. It can take up to 18 months to obtain a work-permit and we simply do not have the time-frame to allow us to undertake the entirety of the process - sorry! You must also be somewhat familiar with the immigration process - (English language equivalency, educational paperwork, etc.). We live about 15 minutes from London Ontario - as well as 1.5 hours from Toronto. We are a very easy-going and fun loving family with two bright and inquisitive children and we know this will be a fantastic work environment for you! We are a non-smoking family. Swearing is optional.
