Nanny Job in Kitchener, Ontario

Hello! We're two families based in Kitchener, Ontario and are looking for an active and responsible nanny to care for our two children (who are cousins) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, between 8:45am and 4:45pm until the end of August. We have an 18-month old and a 3-year old between us, so we need someone who has experience with caring for multiple children in these age groups. This is a live-out position. You'd be working out of one family's home where everything is provided (the other child is dropped off each day). At least one parent will be on site to assist if needed, as we both work from home. This position is starting immediately and extending until August 30th. On Wednesdays you'd only have one child to care for, as the other has a daycare placement already. We aren't comfortable with the kids being driven anywhere, so a car isn't needed. There are lots of parks and community centres within easy walking distance. You should be comfortable doing basic mid-day meal and snack prep for the kids, and have CPR certification. Our ideal nanny is someone who is expressive and energetic. You know how to win the respect of a three year old that is likes to make up their own mind and help with everything. You're gentle and kind and model respectful behaviour. You're interested in keeping the kids engaged and like to invent new ways to help them learn as you explore different environments throughout the day. You're also very aware of safety – you know how to keep both children within a safe distance at all times, you're aware of choking hazards and safe sleep practices.
