Nanny Job in Langford, British Columbia

Our family is seeking a reliable part time nanny to care for our son. We are looking for someone who is passionate about children, who will nurture our son and provide exceptional care. About us: We are a loving family with an adorable one year old son. We have full and part time careers. We strive to create a high nurture, attuned and present environment for our son. We value empathy, creativity, mindfulness and fun. Our son loves being out in nature, reading, bird watching and anything with wheels. Start Date: February, or March Location: Langford/Olympic View Salary: Starting from $20/hour Job Type: Part time Schedule: Mondays 1:30 - 5:30 pm Tuesdays 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm, Thursdays 10:00 am – 2:00 pm -Can provide more hours for occasional weekends -May be flexible on days/times Job description: -Childcare including feeding, dressing, changing diapers, settling/napping -Creating a safe, nurturing, engaging environment -Engaging in age-appropriate activities to promote learning, creativity and social development -Outings including walks outside, playground, library -Light house keeping tasks such as dishes, child’s laundry, snack/meal preparation, organizing toys Qualifications: -Caring, gentle, kind, nurturing, engaging, patient -Punctual, organized, open communication -Some knowledge of developmental stages and attachment based, emotion focused caregiving (preferred) Experience: Childcare position 1-2 two years (preferred) License/Certification: -Current CPR and first aid (preferred) -Driver’s license (preferred) Requirements: Criminal record check and at least two excellent references If you are passionate about providing exceptional care, fostering growth and becoming an important part of our child’s life, we would love to hear from you
